Bobby G. Smith, 65, 151 Samanda Circle, Rockmart, died March 14, 2004. Mr. 
Smith was born in Aragon, Ga. on May 22, 1938, a son of the late Jessie Leroy 
Smith and Eleanor Lanham Smith. He had lived all of his life in the Rockmart 
area and attended Second Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, was 
a former employee of the Marquette Cement Company, former owner of the R&W Easy 
Shop and prior to retirement he and his wife owned and operated the Casual Shop 
for 25 years. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Shelba Statham Smith, to whom he was 
married on May 22, 1959; daughter, Miss Angie Smith, Rockmart; son, Steve 
Smith, Roswell; sister, Mrs. Betty Lundy, Cedartown; grand children; nieces, 
nephews. The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2004 in 
the Second Baptist Church of Rockmart with Rev. David Warriner and Rev. Robert 
Wright officiating. Interment was held in the Rockmart Memorial Gardens. 
Pallbearers were Frank Statham Sr., Frank Statham Jr., Whitt Dunn, Roy Cagle, 
Mickey Statham, Tony Lundy, Bill Lundy and Rick Lundy. The Alvis Miller & Son 
Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. (The Rockmart Journal, Rockmart, GA,
