Ronald Lee Smith, 46, of 136 Fish Creek Rd., Cedartown, passed away Wednesday, 
Feb. 18, 2004. He was born Feb. 15, 1958 in Floyd County. He was a member of 
Friendly Baptist Church and was previously employed at Jockey International. At 
the time of his death, he was a self-employed painter. He was preceded in death 
by his step-father, Jack M. Ledford and his grandparents, E.C. Smith and Ada 
Sue Sanders Smith, A.B. Benefield and Ovelle Benefield. Survivors include son, 
Jamey Lee Donaldson; mother, Mary Dathnia Ledford; father and step-mother, J. 
R. and Mearlyn Smith; brothers, Troy Ray Smith, Randy Smith and Jerome Smith; 
and a number of nieces and nephews and uncles. Funeral services were conducted 
Saturday at 2 p.m. at Friendly Baptist Church. Rev. R. B. Hulsey and Rev. Danny 
Tucker officiated. Interment followed at Northview Cemetery. The Gammage 
Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown Standard,
