Mrs. Thelma Elizabeth Smith, 88, Resaca, Ga. died December 23, 2003. Mrs. Smith 
was born in Polk County. She was preceded in death by parents, Marion J. and 
Sarah E. West Smith; son, Arthur L. Smith. Surviving are son, William Smith, 
Resaca; brother, Monroe Smith, Cedartown; grandchildren; great grandchildren; 
nieces and nephews. The funeral service was conducted at 12 p.m. Saturday 
December 27, 2003 in the Gammage Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Woody Woodtin 
officiating. Interment was held in Northview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Travis 
Smith, Bradley Smith, James Brewer, Randall Talley, Larry Smith and Jim Mullen. 
Great grandsons served as honorary pallbearers. Gammage Funeral Home had charge

Thelma Elizabeth Smith, 88, of Resaca, passed away Dec. 23. She was born in 
Polk County. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Marion J. and 
Sarah E. West Smith, and son, Arthur L. Smith. Survivors include: brother, 
Monroe Smith, Cedartown; son, William Smith, Resaca; and numerous 
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral 
services were conducted Saturday, Dec. 27, at 12 p.m., in the Chapel of the 
Gammage Funeral Home with the Rev. Woody Woodtin officiating. Interment 
followed in the Northview Cemetery. Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the
