Bonnell C. Carden, 86, of 486 Clearwater St., Rockmart, passed away Wednesday, 
Feb. 19, 2003 at the local nursing home. She was born April 18, 1916 in 
Haralson County and was a homemaker, a member of the Rockmart Senior Center and 
a member of Springdale Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Ralph Carden, and her parents, Henry Grady and Wilma Astoria Rutledge 
Carroll. Survivors include sons, Kenneth Carden of North Augusta, SC, Bobby 
Carden and Douglas Carden, both of Rockmart; daughter, Cathy Mayfield of 
Dallas; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 
conducted Friday, February 21 at 2 p.m. from the Freeman Harris Funeral Home 
Chapel with Rev. Wayne Tant and Rev. Bobby McDowell officiating. Interment 
followed in Smyrna Methodist Cemetery in Paulding County. Pallbearers were 
Jason Wall, Douglas Carden, Doug Swift, Cory McDowell, Edward Fennel, Jr. and 
Steve Roberts. The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the
