Z. T. Carr, 88, of Rockmart, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003. He was born 
Jan. 19, 1915 in Bartow County, son of the late Annie Mashburn Carr and Edgar 
Lee Carr. He was a retired employee of the Rome Plow Co. and was a member of 
Second Baptist Church of Rockmart. He served many years as a Baptist minister, 
at Second Baptist of Rockmart, Bartow churches including Bethel Crossroads, 
Euharlee, Connossena, Snow Springs, and Oak Grove, and Gordon County churches 
including Oostanala and Damascus Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 
his wife, Rosa Ingel Carr; daughter Martha Sue Carr; son De Carr; grandson 
Charles Wayne Carr II, and brother, L. V. Carr. Survivors include a son, Rev. 
Wayne Carr of Cartersville, and a brother, Rev. Raymond Carr of White. Funeral 
services were conducted Friday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. from the Freeman Harris 
Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Garrett and Rev. Charles Garrett officiating. 
Interment followed in the Aragon Cemetery. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in
