Gene Calvin Carroll, 59, of 612 Coots Lake Rd., Rockmart, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 
2003 in Cedartown. He was born March 14, 1943 in Polk County, Ga. And was a 
retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Hulsey Carroll; 
father, Bead Carroll and son, Horace Gene Carroll. He is survived by his 
mother, Ludie Carroll Harding of Rockmart; sons, Calvin Carroll of Rockmart, 
Scott Carroll of Dallas, Billy Carroll of Rockmart, Toby Carroll of Bush, La.; 
daughters, Scarlett Stinnett of Rockmart, Regina Gabriel of Bush, La, Henrietta 
Campbell, Tina Brock, both of Rockmart; sister, June Sharp of Sanford, N.C.; 18 
grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The funeral service was held 
Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 2 p.m. from the Freeman Harris Funeral Home Chapel with 
Rev. Jim Morgan officiating. Interment followed in Springdale Baptist Church 
cemetery. Pallbearers: Jason Carroll, Craig Blair, Wade Blair, Ashley Carroll, 
Derrick Cooper, and James Hulsey. Freeman Harris Funeral Home had charge of the
