Clyde Russell Carter Jr., 63, of 306 Runyon Road, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 
24. He was born Feb. 2, 1940 and was retired from BellSouth. Mr. Carter was 
preceded in death by: wife, Helen Rebecca Carter; daughter, Rhonda Gayle Bevel; 
and mother, Georgia Mae Carter. Survivors include: father, Clyde Russell Carter 
Sr.; daughter, Tracy Carter; sons, Rusty, Steve and Donnie Carter; and sisters, 
Carolyn Helms, Alice Sheppard, Pat Handy, and Easter Hayth; seven grandchildren 
and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held at New Etna Baptist 
Church on Saturday, Dec. 27, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Billy Thomas officiating. 
Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (Cedartown Standard,
