She was born March 23, 1923 in Polk County, daughter of the late James Pal Head and Mae Lucy Sanford Head. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John McBryde Causey and one sister, Dorthory Mershon. Survivors include a son, Billy Causey of Ranburn, Ala.; daughters, Betty Hindmon of Rockmart, Paulette C. Johnson of Columbus, Ind., Jeannie Hembree and Lucy Dingler, both of Rockmart; sisters, Eugene Popham of California, Sonia Hillstrom of Phoenix, AZ., Bonnie Cason and Billie Cummings, both of Rockmart; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Hembree, Rev. Archie Streetman and Rev. Jimmy Cason officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Ridge Cemetery. The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
