He was born Nov. 24, 1940 in Haralson County and was a member of the Lime Branch Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Hunt Cheatwood and Eugena McKibbon Cheatwood. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Cheatwood of Cedartown; sons, Randall Boyd Cheatwood of Buchanan, Johnny Ray Cheatwood, Brian Eric Cheatwood and Jason Rodney Cheatwood, all of Cedartown; daughters, Cynthia Ann Cain and Kimberly Lynn Hayes, both of Cedartown; brothers, Marvin Cheatwood of Felton and John Cheatwood of Cedartown; sister, Louise Wood of Felton; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, September 11 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of the Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Again and James Casey officiating. Interment followed in Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers were Keith Cheatwood, Adoma Brannon, Randy Barry, Jason Adams, John Dawson and Michael Stubbs. Honorary pallbearers were Brian Hayes, Jim Wood and David Cain. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
