Mr. Daniel Wayne Lester, age 60, of Rockmart, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 
1997 at his residence. He was born July 31, 1937, in Rockmart. He was a retired 
Goodyear employee and of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his 
parents, Loy M. and Mary Statham Lester. Survivors include 3 sons: Donald 
Lester, Cecil H. Lester, and Ricky Lester, all of Rockmart, 2 daughters, Mrs. 
Ruth Weathington, Vero Beach, Fla. And Mrs. Catherine A. Pace, Acworth, 3 
brothers, Rev. David Lester, Rockmart, Curtis Lester, Marietta, Willie Dee 
Lester, Kennesaw, and 6 grandchildren. The funeral services was held Friday 
December 26, 1997 at 2:00 p.m., from the Freeman Harris Funeral Home Chapel 
with Rev. Marion Longshore and Rev. Robert Pyles officiating. Interment 
followed in Holly Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lee Lester, Dewain Lester, 
Allen Lester, Jimmy Lester, Willie Lester, Billy Floyd, and Thomas Lester. 
Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
