The Cedartown Standard, Thursday, July 6, 1939
Miss Sara Elizabeth Smith, died Tuesday morning at her home on Route 1, after a 
brief illness. She was in her 85th year. Funeral services were held Wednesday 
morning at New Prospect church, near Rockmart. Interment was in the adjoining 
cemetery with Bisaner’s Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Miss Smith is 
survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mollie Smith and several nieces and nephews.
