Stephens wend@bellsouth.net April 20, 2004, 11:25 am The Cedartown Standard, Thursday, May 16, 1940 Mrs. John Tanner, 59, of Benedict, died Friday at her residence after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Lime Branch church with Elder Ira Patty and Rev. Sewell Strickland officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery, Roberts Funeral home in charge of arrangements. In addition to her husband, Mrs Tanner is survived by three sons, Columbus, Earl and Ewell Tanner; four daughters, Mrs. Carl Purser, Mrs. Charlie Stroup, Mrs. Inez Morris and Miss Nina Mae Tanner; one sister, Mrs. R.
