The Cedartown Standars, July 1997
Vennie Irene Smith, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 1997. Mrs. Smith was 
born Sept. 1, 1909 in Bartow County. She was a member of Freedom Baptist 
Church. Surviving are: three daughters, Linda Lavern Vinson, Charlene Guice, 
and Sonja Lea Bridges, all of Cedartown. Nine grandchildren and two great, 
great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, July 11, at 2 p.m., in 
the chapel of the Litesey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Owen Davis, Jr., and the 
Rev. Jerry Hardin officiating. Interment followed in Polk Memory Garden. The 
Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
