The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, Ga., February 1992
Mrs. Maggie Frances Prophett Smith, age 80, 607 Edwards Rd. Cedartown, died 
Saturday, February 15, 1992. Mrs. Smith was born October 9, 1911, in Troup 
County and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was preceded in 
death by her husband Mr. Calep Henry Smith, and a daughter Mrs. Sherry Jean 
Pruitt. Surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Davis and Mrs. Beth Allen, 
both of Cedartown; three sons, James Smith, Phillip Smith and Albert Smith, all 
of Cedartown; ten grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 4 great great 
grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Monday, February 17, in 
the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Jolly officiating. 
Interment followed in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Doug 
Wood, Jerry Palmer, Ricky Roberson, Earl Smith, J.C. Smith and William 
Blankenship. Gammage Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
