(Cedartown Standard, Wednesday, January 2, 1991) 
Howard Thurrel (Pete) Smith, age 67, of Forest Park, died Sunday, December 23. 
Mr. Smith was born November 28, 1923. He was a veteran of the United States 
Navy and a retired photographer. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ora H. Smith, 
Cedartown; one brother, Don Smith, Woodstock. Funeral services were held 
Wednesday, December 26, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home 
with the Rev. Randy Howard officiating. Interment followed in Northview 
Cemetery. Serving, as pallbearers were Jerry Knowles, Ed Griffin, Doug Runyon, 
Butch Pierce, Ralph Baker, Harold Morgan, John Teat, Joe Camarata and Jimmy 
Vincent. Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (Cedartown
