(Cedartown Standard, Thursday, November 22, 1917) 
Walter Waters, a young man home for a few days from Camp Wheeler, allowed the 
disloyal remarks of mistaken friends to prey upon his mind and he committed 
suicide last week. His dead body, a pistol in his hand was found Wednesday in 
Mr. John Brumbelow’s field. (Cedartown Standard, Thursday, November 22, 1917)
