(Cedartown Standard, May 24, 1917) 
Mrs. Manda Reeves Howard, passed away Saturday after years of ill health, age 
68 years, and the remains were taken Sunday for interment at New Harmony, 
funeral services being conducted by Revs. W. J. Lovvorn and W. P. Whitlow. The 
deceased was formerly Miss Manda Reeves, and was an excellent Christian lady, a 
member of the Baptist church. Besides her husband, she is survived by seven 
children, Messrs. Frank, Monroe and Geo., Howard, Mesdames A. L. Weaver, S. A. 
Pittman, G.S. Shiflett and Starling Lyon. (Cedartown Standard, May 24, 1917)
