The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, October 09, 2003
James D. Hampton, 61, of W. Fairmount Ave., passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003. 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn and Jewell Hampton, and 
brother, Nolen Hampton. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn R. Hampton; 
daughter, Gina Greer; sons, James Gregory Hampton and Greg White; sister, 
Eunice Boyd; brother, Olin Hampton; and five grandchildren. Funeral services 
were conducted Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Gammage 
Funeral Home with Rev. John Redding and Rev. Joe Redding officiating. Interment 
followed in Cave Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.T. Hammond, Brooke Massey, 
Billy Ray Jerrell, Pete Chastain, Bobby Joe Jerrell, and Terry Pike. Gammage 
Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown Standard,
