Mr. David L. Haney, 57, Houston, Texas, formerly of Rockmart, died February 3, 
2004. Mr. Haney was born July 16, 1947 in Polk County. He was a graduate of 
Rockmart High School. He lived most of his adult life in Colorado and Texas. He 
was preceded in death by parents, Clyde and Mattie Haney. Surviving are 
sisters, Barbara Haney, Rockmart and Myra Quintana, Jonesboro; half siblings, 
Tony Blair, Mableton, Harold Haney, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Nina Yarbrough, Silver 
Creek, Lydia Trenary, Plainville, Shirley Ingle, Rockmart and Jack Haney, 
Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two nieces; one nephew. The service was conducted on 
February 6, 2004 at the Settegast Kopf Funeral Home, Sugar Land, TX with 
Colonel Douglas Wheelock, NASA Astronaut officiating. A memorial service for 
family and friends was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2004 in the 
Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home chapel. Interment was held in New Prospect 
Baptist Church Cemetery. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home had charge of
