The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., June 18, 2003
Don Haney, 45, of 94 Oak Hill Dr., Rockmart, passed away Thursday, June 12, 
2003. He was born November 25, 1957 in Rockmart and was a corporate officer 
with Haney Supply, a member of Rockmart’s First United Methodist Church, a 
member and former chairman of the Rockmart Planning Commission and Lions Club, 
and a former girls softball coach. He was preceded in death by his father, 
James Henry Haney. Survivors include his wife, Anna Armas Haney; mother, Lois 
Akins Haney; daughters, Shana Mishay Haney and Nikole Dunn; brothers, Bobby, 
Larry, and Mike Haney; sisters, Henrietta Edge and Joyce Atkins. Funeral 
services were conducted Saturday, June 14, at 2 p.m. in the Freeman Harris 
chapel with Rev. David Autry, Rev. Burch Fannin, and Rev. Carol Cook 
officiating. Interment followed in Rockmart Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were 
Mac Albers, David Jackson, Kenneth Davenport, Terry Couch, Doug Swift, and 
Lonnie Merren. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
