Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net October 12, 2006, 11:46 am Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., March 27, 2003 Thelma Himes, 85, of 1744 Mahan Road, Summerville, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2003 at her residence. She was born Aug. 31, 1917 in Clay County, KY. She was co-owner with her husband of A&W Drive-in, Trion for many years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Laura Clark Hensley Clark. Survivors include her husband, Carl Himes of Summerville; daughter, Joyce Peppers of Cedartown; sons, Bob Himes of Summerville, Charles Himes of Cedartown, and Harold Himes of Cincinnati, OH; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 18 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Erwin-Petit Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Decker officiating. Interment followed in Greenhills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Andy, Chris, James, Jr., Matthew, Michael, Kyle and Kenny Himes and Matt Peppers. Honorary pallbearers were the men of Calvary Baptist Church. The Erwin-Petit Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. This local announcement was made for the family by the Gammage Funeral Home.
