Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., November 25, 2002
Edwin Jackson, 80, of 1049 Stringer Rd., Rockmart, died November 21, 2002 in a 
Rome Hospital. He was a retired owner and operator of Jackson Construction and 
a member of Morning View Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first 
wife, Lena Mae Estes Jackson; parents, Will and Myrtice Inez McCown; son, Larry 
Paul Jackson; brothers, Oscar and James Sweat. He is survived by his wife, 
Sarah Jackson of Rockmart; son, David Jackson of Rockmart; step-son, Bruce 
Edwards of Cartersville; step-daughter, Penny Bratcher of Rockmart; brother, 
Coy Jackson of Rockmart; 11 grandchildren and one great grandson also survive. 
The funeral services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Morning View Baptist 
Church with Rev. Robert Wright, Rev. Lawrence Garrett and Rev. Bobby McDowell 
officiating. Interment followed in Polk memory Gardens. Pallbearers: Mitchell 
Jackson, Blake Jackson, Johnny B. Davis, Jason Edwards, Johnny Garrett, and 
Billy Fincher. Honorary Pallbearers: J.W. LeGrande, Charles Pinkard, Jerry 
Stringer, Freeman Stringer, Larry Haney, Kenneth Davenport. Freeman Harris 
Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown,
