Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net October 13, 2006, 8:48 am The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., April 6, 2004 Richard Clyde Jackson, 99, of 3348 Ethan Dr., Marietta, formerly of Rockmart, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2004. He was born Jan. 31, 1905 in Polk County, son of the late James Ivy and Luella Baldwin Jackson. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and a retired Hayes Aircraft employee. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Clara Jones Jackson; brother, William Clifford Jackson; three sisters, Bessie Davis, Pauline Jackson and Nellie Chandler. Mr. Jackson is survived by two sons, James R. Jackson of Rockmart and Jay Jackson of Marietta; one daughter, Nancy Paris of Rockmart; two sisters, Inez McGee and Irene Hendrix, both of Rockmart; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Friday, April 2, at 11 a.m., from the Freeman Harris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Guice officiating. Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were: Evelyn Tillery, Bret Paris, Steve Hendrix, Will Adams, Ray Barber, Larry Tolbert and James Bell. Freeman Harris Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
