Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net October 13, 2006, 9:02 am Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., November 25, 2002 William J. “Bill” Jones, 70, of 166 Brenda Cir., Yorkville, passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2002. He was born in Lyerly on June 17,1932. He was a retired, self- employed cabinet maker and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Margaret Grovine Kimball Jones, and a son, George Earl Jones. Survivors include: wife, Dorothy “Dot” Lindsey Jones; daughter Martha Gurley; sons, William J. Jones II, Robert Jones, Tony Jones, Stewart Jones, and Gregory Jones; sister, Margaret Blythe; half-brother, Earl Jones; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Benjamin Lindsey, Rev. Don Lindsey, and Minister Alvis Miller officiating. Interment followed in the Yorkville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clifton Gurley, Sammy Jones, Mark Jones, Bernie Lindsey, Chris Forrister, and Alan Forrister. Honorary pallbearers were Glen Henderson and Carl Lindsey. The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
