G. Janes, Cedartown. Cedartown, Ga., March 18.—(Special.) Judge Charles G. Janes died at his home on Herbert street in this city today, after an illness of only a few days. Judge Janes was for twelve years on the superior court bench of this state, serving as judge of the Tallapoosa circuit in a most acceptable manner. After retiring from the bench he again resumed the practice of law in this city and was recognized as one of the ablest lawyers in the state. He was the attorney for Polk county. Judge Janes was a member of a prominent Georgia family and is well known over the state. He is survived by his wife. The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock tomorrow.
