The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, February 20, 2003
James (Jimmy) Barron King, 87, of 5232 Rivoli Drive, Macon, passed away Sunday, 
Feb. 23, 2003. He was a native of Cedartown and the son of the late James 
Samuel King and Cora Wood King. He lived in Macon for 57 years. Mr. King is the 
brother of Sara Casey of Cedartown who passed away Sunday. Mr. King was a 
veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II. Survivors include his 
wife, Allene Cross King; sons, Barry King of Mini Hill, NC, Allen King of 
Macon, and Mike King of Peachtree City; sister, Ann Smith of Ft. Pierce, FL; 
brother, Sammy King of Cedartown; and 7 grandchildren. Graveside services were 
conducted Tuesday, February 25 at 4 p.m. in the Madison City Cemetery. Memorial 
donations may be made to the American Heart Association. The Simmons Funeral 
Home of Madison, GA, was in charge of the arrangements. This announcement was 
made for the family by the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home. (The Cedartown
