Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., January 02, 2004
Edna Newman Lawrence, 93, of Hendersonville, N.C., formerly of Cedartown, 
passed away Thursday, Dec. 25, in Pardee Care Center. She was the daughter of 
the late Logan and Lelia Jones Newman. She was a member of the First Baptist 
Church of Cedartown, the Garden Club and the Quilting Club. She worked for Polk 
General Hospital in Cedartown and was in the W.A.C.S. Nursing Corps in W.W. II. 
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. A graveside service was held 
Saturday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. at Oakdale Cemetery with Rev. Dean Glacken 
officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice 
at: P. O. Box 2395, Hendersonville, N.C. 28793. The Jackson Funeral Service had
