Gordon Edward Lee, 77, of 490 Marks Rd, Rockmart, passed away Monday, Mar. 24, 
2003 at his residence. He was born Aug. 16, 1925, in Bartow County. He was a 
retired kiln operator with Galite Corporation with 20 years service and the 
oldest member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Acworth. He was preceded in death 
by his wife, Melbayrene Anderson Lee; son, Felix Lee; and parents, Homer and 
Eda Cox Lee. Survivors include sons, Douglas Lee of Kingston, Steve Lee of 
Euharlee, Glenn Lee of Rockmart and Ray Lee of Rockmart; daughters, Judith 
Mulkey of Rockmart, Ann Collum and Elaine Lee, both of Cartersville, and 
Patricia Rudeseal and Grace Jones, both of Rockmart; brothers, Albert and J.L. 
Lee, both of Cartersville; sisters, Dora Forsyth of Kingston, Myrtice Willis of 
Aragon and Rita Morris of Cartersville; 36 grandchildren and 34 great-
grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 26 at 2 p.m. 
from Mount Zion Baptist Church in Acworth with Rev. Roland Lee and Rev. Randy 
Joe Forsyth officiating. Interment followed in Mount Zion Baptist Church 
Cemetery. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The
