Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net January 25, 2007, 9:09 pm The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, June 24, 2003 Martha K Lindsey, of 4 Park St., Cave Spring, passed away Monday, June 16, 2003. She was a native of Mobile, Ala., the daughter of the late Roy R. Perry Sr. and Ruby Dickerson Perry. She had resided in Cave Spring for a number of years and helped her husband operate Cave Spring Hardware prior to their retirement in 1981. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, of both Rome and Boston, Mass. She was a member of the Cave Spring Historical Society and was a former member of the Cave Spring Ladies Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her son, John Lindsey, and a brother, Roy R. Perry Jr. Survivors include her husband, Dewell L. Lindsey; children, Victoria Abernathy and Tom Lindsey; brother, Kent Perry; five grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, June 17, at 8 p.m. at the chapel of John House’s Cave Spring Funeral Home with Rev. Tal Roberts and Mrs. Lindsey’s daughter Victoria Abernathy officiating. Private interment was held at the Cave Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Cave Spring. John House’s Cave Spring Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
