The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, April 29, 2004
Perry Wilson Lockridge, Jr., 65, 105 Woodlawn Ave., Anderson, S.C., died 
Monday, April 26, 2004 at his residence. Born in Cedartown on June 12, 1938, 
Mr. Lockridge was a son of Perry Wilson Lockridge, Sr., and Myrtle Louise 
Williams Lockridge of Cedartown. He was a former Master Dyer and Chemist and 
was a former deputy on Alpha Shift at the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. 
Survivors include: his wife, Beverly Raiford Lockridge of the home; son, Tommy 
Lockridge of Anderson; daughters, Cathi Lynn Weider of Portage, Wis., Kymberley 
Peri Hopper of the home; parents, Perry Wilson Lockridge, Sr. and Myrtle Louise 
Williams Lockridge of Cedartown; brother, Preston Lee Lockridge of Cedartown; 
sister, Rita Faye McCain of Marietta; and five grandchildren. One great-
grandson also survives. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, 
May 1, at the Cedartown Church of God with Pastor Danny Rhodes officiating. In 
lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of the 
Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, S.C. 29621. The McDougald Funeral Home of 
Anderson is in charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown,
