Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net October 17, 2006, 11:23 am The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., February 17, 2004 Evelyn Melissa Cain Mason, 82, of 1011 Prospect Road, Rockmart, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2004. Mrs. Mason was born April 29, 1921, in Polk County. She was the daughter of the late Roy Lee and Lula Hulsey Cain, Sr. She was a homemaker and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Lee Cain, Jr. Survivors include: her husband, John W. Mason of Rockmart; daughter, Alice Coffman of Rockmart; son, Larry Mason of Lindale; sisters, Ruby Suit of Davenport, Fla., Louise Call of Lakeland, Fla. and Shirley Bryson of Macon. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with the Rev. Cordell Tibetts officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dylan Coffman, Wally Mason, Kevin Hunt, Johnny Pannell and Max Mason. Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2004 in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Cordell Tibbetts officiating.
