MRS. MONTEAL (CRABB) MAYO DIES IN CHATTANOOGA, TN.  Mrs. Monteal Crabb Mayo, 
died at her home at Route 5, North Chattanooga, TN on Monday afternoon, June 
10, 1946.  Mrs. Mayo was born on August 9, 1908, in Polk County, Georgia.  She 
was the daughter of the late William Burton "Toby" Crabb and the late Sarah 
Josephine "Josie" (Black) Crabb of Polk County, Georgia.  She is survived by 
her husband, Mather McKinley Mayo, 3 sons: Robert H. Mayo, David M. Mayo and 
Paul D. Mayo;  1 daughter, Linnie Sue Mayo; 5 brothers, Charles Peek Crabb of 
Rockmart, Georgia; Oscar Burton Crabb of Rome, Georgia;  William Acy "Dee" 
Crabb of Fish Creek, Polk County, Georgia;  John William "Johnnie" Crabbe of 
Rome, Georgia; Henry Wilson Crabbe also of Rome.  Several sisters also survive, 
including Ethel Nina (Crabb) Kinsey of Hiram, Georgia;  Pearl "Pearlie" (Crabb) 
Voyles also of Hiram;  Myrtle Lou (Crabb) Maddox, of Rockmart, Polk County, 
Georgia; Louise Crabb, Leonna Elizabeth Crabbe and Thelma Dean Crabbe all of 
Rome, Georgia.   The body will be in state at the residence of the deceased. 
Funeral services will be held at the Holiness Mission located at 35th and 
Rossville  Boulevard, Thursday morning at 10:30 o'clock a.m. with the Rev. W. 
B. Lyle officiating. Burial will be at the Beason Cemetery.  Pallbearers will 
be Oscar Voyles, Lon Stanfield, Claude Turner, Fred Fine, Clarence McEntire and 
Mr. Pearson.  R. J. Coulter Funeral Home will be in charge of the 
arrangements.
