Stephens stephens2247@bellsouth.net January 29, 2007, 6:27 pm The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, July 28, 2003 Nora Cheatwood McClure, 97, Hwy 120 East, Buchanan, passed away Saturday, July 19. She was born October 19, 1905, and was the daughter of the late Dave Cheatwood and Etta Jane Hilburn Cheatwood. She was also a member of the Baptist Tabernacle Church in Buchanan. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. McClure, her son, Harley Ray McClure and two daughters, Geraldine and Darlene McClure. Survivors include: daughters Hazel McCollum, Cedartown, and Betty Ann Priest, Athens, AL; sons Lovie McClure, Bremen, and Horace McClure, also of Bremen, David McClure, Tallapoosa, Delbert McClure, Buchanan, and Eugene McClure, also of Buchanan; sister, Mildred Willis, Cedartown; 27 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday, July 22, at the Baptist Tabernacle Church with Rev. Buddy Gentry and Elder Horace Kimball officiating. Music was furnished by Patty McClure and accompanied by Randy Stamps. Interment followed at the Perryman Brannon Cemetery. Pallbearers were McClure’s grandchildren, Tony Bowling, Barry McClure, Rodney McClure, Mike McClure, Tommy Priest, Steve McClure and Scott McClure. The honorary pallbearers were her great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The Hightower Funeral Home of Bremen was in charge of the arrangements.
