Jimmie Reynolds Anderson McCoy of Cedartown passed away Sept. 21, 2003. She was 
born April 17, 1930 to the late Melvin and Lucille Reynolds Anderson of Fish 
Creek. In 1948, she married career naval officer Thomas E. McCoy, Jr. of 
Lindale. She was a devoted wife and mother as well as a successful real estate 
agent before her retirement in the late 1980s. The McCoys resettled in Polk 
County in 1998. She is preceded in death by her parents and older sister, 
Bettye Jean Anderson Millsaps Robertson. Survivors include her husband, Tom 
McCoy; children, Debra McCoy-Massey, Gale Anderson McCoy, and Jane McCoy Muse; 
brother, Melvin Anderson, Jr. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 23 at 2 
p.m. from St. James Episcopal Church with Rev. Donald Black officiating. The 
family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Anderson-Reeves 
Cemetery, PO Box 292, Cedartown; or the Heyman Hospice Care, PO Box 162, Rome, 
GA 30162-0163. Cremation Society of Georgia was in charge of the arrangements.
