The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, June 12, 2003
Thomas Larry “Tommy” McDowell, 47, of 2021 1st Ave, Rockmart, passed away 
Saturday, June 7, 2003. He was born March 2, 1956, in Polk County, and was a 
member of Springdale Baptist Church. Survivors include: mother, Mildred 
McDowell; brothers, Morris, Doug, Bobby, Robert, and Jimmy McDowell; sisters, 
Betty Jones, Sue Cox, Penny Lemasters, and Leigh Ann Wade. Funeral services 
were held Monday, June 9, at 2 p.m. from the Springdale Baptist Church with 
Rev. Tommy Cox and Rev. Bobby McDowell officiating. Interment followed in 
Springdale Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charlie Wade, Rodney McDowell, Scott 
McDowell, Matt McDowell, Corey McDowell, Brian McDowell, and Jeff McDowell. 
Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown
