Laura Roberts Meadows, 86, of 12 Chateau Dr., Rome, passed away Friday, Oct. 
11, 2002. She was born Aug. 12, 1916 in Polk County, and was a member of the 
First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen D. 
Meadows, and her parents, John Walter and Mary Lou Roberts. Survivors include: 
sons, Robert Meadows and Donald Meadows; sister, Aileen Dollar; three 
grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted 
Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. 
Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment followed in Northview Cemetery. 
Pallbearers were Chuck Walley, Claud Brown, Alvin Chandler, Johnnie Roberts, 
Henderson Woody, Allen Meadows, Steve Meadows, and Brant Meadows. Honorary 
pallbearers were Alice Sunday School Class, Men’s Bible Class, Howard Weihe, 
and Bob Bond. Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
