Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, October 09, 2003
John George Nations, Jr., 83, of 478 Cherokee Rd, passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 
2003. He was born Oct. 9, 1919. He was preceded in death by his son, John 
G. “Buddy” Nations, III. Survivors include wife, Virginia Ann Nation; daughter, 
Glenda Collins; and three grandchildren. Graveside services were conducted 
Sunday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Benefield 
officiating. Pallbearers were Kenneth Roberts, Michael Payton, Lee Wilkerson, 
Ricky Sorrells, Sammy Stephens, Scott Jackson, Steve Manning, and Darrell 
Stephens. Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (The
