January 19, 2007, 9:57 am (The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, January 14, 2003) Annie Lou Hooper Nix, 80, of 1671 Antioch Rd., Cedartown, passed away Friday, Jan. 3, 2003. Mrs. Nix was born Sept. 1, 1922, in Decatur, GA, and was a member of Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Raymond Nix; parents, William C. and Evie Belle Johnson Hooper; brothers, W.C., Junior, Jasper and Albert Hooper. Survivors include her son, William “Buddy” Nix of Buford, GA; daughter, Evie Jewel Williams of Cedartown; brothers, J.W., Charles, Doyce, David and George Hooper, all of Cedartown; sisters, Ruby Camp of Rockmart, Belle McFall and Ellen Dempsey, both of Cedartown; 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home. Rev. Joey Meeks officiated, and interment followed in the Northview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Todd, Brent, Mike, Eddie and Jasper “Bud” Hooper and Robbie Camp. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
