The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, August 22, 2003
Seals Leftwich Odom, 63, of 303 Lindsey Chapel Road, Cedartown, passed away 
Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003. He was born July 23, 1940 in Polk County and retired 
with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with 40 years service. He was of the 
Baptist Faith. Mr. Odom was preceded in death by his parents, Austin Odom and 
Julia Amelia Holbrooks Odom; sisters, Jewell Odom, Elizabeth Mae Odom; brother 
John Austin Odom and one niece. Surviving are Donna Tant, Lee Owens, Jenny 
Barnett, Sgt., Jonathon Wynn; two grandchildren; sisters, Josephine B. Shutley; 
a number of nieces, aunts and several other relatives. Funeral services were 
held Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 4 p.m. at Lindsey Chapel Methodist Church with Olen 
Sisson officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery Pallbearers 
were Jaime Barnette, Michael Shelton, Sharon Prather, David Blair, Dean Minter 
and Lee Owens. Honorary pallbearer was Brandon Jones. Gammage Funeral Home of 
Cedartown had charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown,
