The Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, December 01, 2003
Virginia M. Odom, 85, 1852 Rockmart Hwy, Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 
25. She was born May 3, 1918 in Polk County, and was one of the oldest members 
of Second Baptist Church. Ms. Odom also taught Sunday School and was retired 
from Cedartown Paper Board. She was preceded in death by: parents, Jule and 
Kate Meadows Odom; and sisters, Mary Kate Kelley and Pat Patterson. Survivors 
are: sisters, Willie Odom Harris and Helen Perdue, both of Cedartown; aunts, 
Estelle Adair and Lucy Locklear, both of Cedartown; nieces, Charlotte Hilliard 
and Carol Perdue; nephews, Sammy Harris, Donald Kelley and Robbie Perdue; and a 
number of great nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Friday, 
Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, with Rev. Bill Heaton officiating. 
Interment followed at Northview Cemetery. The Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home
