Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA, December 11, 2003
Ruth Daniel Owen passed away on Dec. 6, 2003. She was born on Sept. 4, 1933. 
She was a graduate of the University of Georgia and taught school in Monroe and 
the City of Atlanta Public Schools. Mrs. Owen was a parishioner of St. Martin 
In the Fields Episcopal Church in Atlanta, where she served for many years in 
the Daughters of the King and the Altar Guild. Survivors include: husband, 
Jerry W. Owen; children, Daniel A. Owen of Atlanta, Nella O. Macfie of Macon, 
Turner G. Owen of Huntsville, Ala., and William R. Owen of Atlanta; and 
brothers, William B. Daniel of Atlanta and Robert S. Daniel of Perry, Fla. 
Eight grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 9, 
at 1 p.m. from St. Martin In the Fields Episcopal Church in Atlanta. H.M. 
Patterson & Son of Atlanta had charge of the arrangements. (The Cedartown
