Miss Booz was born on the old Booz plantation which section is now known as Boozville, living a part of her early life there and at Cave Spring. Early in her life the family moved to Cedartown and have lived here since. She is the daughter of the late Major Thomas H. and Martha A. Whitehead Booz. She is survived by four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the St. James Episcopal church with the Rev. Charles Schilling conducting the services. Pallbearers were: Wm. Parker Je., James Young, A. E. Young, Jr., L. L. Draughon, Sam Good and Lamar Hallum. Interment was in the Greenwood cemetery with Bisaner's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Rome News Tribune (Date Unknown) Miss Elizabeth Booz Buried in Cedartown Funeral services for Miss Elizabeth Booz, 67, who died Friday afternoon at her residence in Cedartown, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in Cedartown with interment in the West View cemetery there. Miss Booz has been ill for some time. She was born in Boozville, but spent most of her life in Cedartown. She was the daughter of Major Thomas Hite Booz and Martha Ann Booz, who came to Georgia from Virginia in 1855. Surviving Miss Booz are four brothers, Thomas H. of Rome; John H. of Montana; W. E. of Cedartown, and B. T. Booz of Miami; two sisters, Miss Kate Booz of Cedartown and Mrs. Willis Evans of Miami. Thomas E. and Henry Booz of Rome are her nephews. Miss Booz was born in Boozville, June 8, 1868. She was the daughter of Thomas Hite Booz, Sr. and Martha Ann Whitehead Booz, who came from Virginia in 1855.
