Booz in Hopewell, Virginia Saturday morning. Mr. Booz a former resident of Cedartown, died suddenly while on a visit to his son. Born in Floyd County on August 24, 1886, Mr. Booz was a retired civil engineer. He had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Rome since 1920. While in Cedartown he was in the hotel business. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the chapel of the Lee Borders Funeral Home with the Rev. L. P. Minter officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Jerry Dodd, Bon Conway, Houston Lee, Fletcher Finley, Bob Ransom, and T. McKinney. Music was furnished by Misses Joyce Barrett and Barbara Carroll, soloists, and Miss Beth Borders, pianist. Survivors include: two sons, Tom Booz, of Rome; and Harry Booz of Hopewell, Virginia; one sister, Mrs. A. W. Evans of Miami, Florida; and four grandchildren. Booz of Rome, formerly of Cedartown, passed away Saturday morning, at the home of his son, Harry W. Booz of Hopewell, Virginia, while on a visit there. Mr. Booz was born in Floyd County on August 24, 1886 and was a retired civil engineer. He had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Rome since 1920. He is survived by two sons, Tom Booze, of Rome, and Harry Booze of Hopewell, Virginia, one sister, Mrs. A. W. Evans of Miami, Florida; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at the chapel of the Lee Borders Funeral Home in Cedartown. Rev. L. P. Minter officiated. Interment followed in the family lot Greenwood Cemetery with the Lee Borders Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were: Jerry Dodd, Bon Conway, Houston Lee, Fletcher Finley, Bob Ransom, and T. McKinney. Appropriate musical selection were rendered during the service by Misses Joyce Barrett and Barbara Carroll, vocalists, accompanied by Miss Beth Borders.
