Dingler, 74, Cedartown, died Monday after a brief illness. Born Aug. 3, 1901, he resided in Polk County all his life where he was a retired Nopco Chemical Co. worker. Mr. Dingler was a member of Pine Bower Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Martha Abney Dingler; two sons; Van Dingler and Hoyt Dingler, Cedartown; two sisters, Mrs. Dolly Purvis and Mrs. Pearl Burke, Alma; two brothers, Lark A. Dingler, Cedartown, and Gordon Dingler, Tallapossa; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services are to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pine Bower Baptist Church with the Revs. Rufus Morman and Horace Sheffield officiating. Interment is to be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church and at Gammage Funeral Home, Cedartown, at other hours.
