(The Cleburne News, Heflin, AL, Tuesday, May 2, 1974)
A Tallapoosa couple and a resident of Fruithurst were killed in a collision on 
Cleburne County Road No. 35.  Jerry Gibson, 35 and his wife Ruby Nell, 30 of 
Tallapoosa died in the wreck which demolished their car which collided with one 
driven by Willard Avery Jarrell of Fruithurst, who was also dead as a result of 
the accident.  Stephen Gibson 8, was treated at Cleburne Hospital and released 
and his brother Tony 4, was admitted to the hospital where he is listed in fair 
condition.   A third vehicle involved in the wreck was damaged but the driver
