Alice Adel Slaughter, 81, of 303 Edna St., Cedartown, passed away Saturday, 
June 19, 1999.  Mrs. Slaughter was born September 17, 1912 in Polk County.  She 
was a member of Southside Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by husband, 
Willie Frederick Slaughter, and parents, Laura Cook Young and T. J. Young. 
Survivors include: son, George E. Lee Slaughter of Cedartown; three 
grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted 
Tuesday, June 22, at 4 p.m., from Southside Baptist Church, with Rev. Moses 
Wilson, Rev. J. C. Robinson and Dr. James Guy officiating.  The interment 
followed in Northview Cemetery.  Pallbearers included: Byron Slaughter, Jason 
Slaughter, Billy Redding, Roland Jackson, Doug Bentley and Larry Bentley.  
Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. (Cedartown Standard,
