Stephens wend@bellsouth.net March 25, 2004, 2:17 pm (Anniston Star, November 17, 1966) Mrs. Lottie Viola Goss Dawson, age 66, of Piedmont, Rt. 2, died Wednesday at 11:50 p.m. at an Anniston hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Hall's Chapel Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Barney Ford, Sanford Willis, Duffie Morgan and Archie Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Plum Springs Cemetery in Eastaboga, Mickelsen's Brown-Service Mortuary in charge. The body will lie in state at the residence until time of services. She is survived by her husband, S.C. Dawson; four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Lockridge of Blue Mountain, Mrs. Zonie Matthews of Rome, GA., Mrs. Mae Superneau of Huntsville and Mrs. Virginia Kirby of Jefferson, GA.; two sons, Walter Dawson of Crestview, Fla.; and Willard Dawson of Weaver; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Owens of Blue Mountain and Mrs. Melba Turner of Eastaboga, and four brothers, Norman Langley of Aragon, GA., Ellis Goss of Cedar Bluff, Ira Goss of Anniston and Harvey Goss of Anniston. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Mrs. Dawson formerly lived in Cherokee County and had lived in Calhoun County the past 20 years.
