Hightower, 94, of 411 Forestside Circle passed away Saturday, Mar. 14, 2003 at her residence. She was a native of Ludville, GA and was born April 22, 1908. She was a member of the Ruhama Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL. For many years, she owned and operated a beauty salon in Birmingham and was a former realtor with Hobert Camp Realty Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee C. Hightower and her parents, Enis Martin and Lula Savannah Findley Bryant. Survivors include son, Jimmy L. Hightower of Americus; sisters, Atlas Tisher of Cedartown and Ovilee Bishop of Trussville, Ala; brother, Fred W. Bryant of Cedar Bluff, Ala; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services were conducted at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, Ala. (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., March 20, 2003) Madge B. Hightower, 94, 411 Forestside Circle, Americus, died at her residence on Saturday, March 14. Graveside services were conducted on Monday, March 17, from the Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL. Hightower, a native of Ludville, GA, was born April 22, 1908 and was the daughter of the late Enis Martin Bryant and Lula Savannah Findley Bryant. She was the wife of the late Lee C. Hightower, who preceded her in death on July 15, 1993. She was a member of the Ruhama Baptist Church in Birmingham. For many years, she owned and operated a beauty salon in Birmingham and was a former Realtor with Hobert Camp Realty Company in Birmingham. Memorial contributions may be made to the League of the Good Samaritan, Magnolia Manor, 2001 South Lee St., Americus, GA 31709. Survivors include: son, Jimmy L. Hightower of Americus; two sisters, Atlas Tisher of Cedartown and Ovilee Bishop of Trussville, AL; a brother, Fred W. Bryant and Cedar Bluff, AL; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The Hancock Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
