Stephens wend@bellsouth.net March 30, 2004, 8:04 pm (Cedartown Standard, Cedartown, GA., March 18, 2003) Marguerite Freeman Ash, 85, of 148 Cason Rd., Cedartown, GA, passed away Thursday, Mar. 6, 2003. She was born Aug. 17, 1917 in Sycamore, GA, and graduated from Sycamore High School. She was a member of the Anna Kresge Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Ash; son, Dr. Riley Ash; granddaughter, April Michelle Beck; parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Augustus Freeman; sisters, Madolyn Freeman and Mrs. Teeter Tyson; brothers, Budley Freeman, Alvin Freeman and Walstein Freeman. Survivors include a son, David Ash of Fairburn; daughter, Rita Beck of Cedartown; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 8 at 3 p.m. from the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Buttram and Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Interment followed in Northview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Marty Carter, Jason Beck, Chris Beck, Jamie Guttery, Daniel Johnson, and Tommy McElwee.
