Mattie W. Ayers, 77, of 311 Lovvorn Road, passed away Monday, Nov. 24, 2003. 
She was born in Odom County. She was preceded in death by: parents, Curtis 
Womack and Minnie Channell Womack; husband, John Henry Ayers; sister, Troy Mae 
Wilkerson; and brothers, Melvin, Raymond and Curtis Womack Jr. Survivors 
include her sisters, Polly Hines and Doris Barker and brothers, H.B. and Doyle 
Womack. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Nov. 26, from the Gammage 
Funeral Home with Rev. R.B. Hulsey officiating. Interment followed at the 
Valley View Cemetery. Gammage Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
